THE PREVENTION CULTURE |
|
|
| Developing a Prevention Culture begins by members of a natural work group looking at an established process (A) with agreed upon requirements. The output of the process is then measured and observed (B) by the employees doing the process. The actual output is compared with the agreed upon requirements (C). If the output meets requirements, organizations can proceed with the process. If not, the output needs to be corrected by fixing the errors, and then root causes of the problem (D) must be tracked down and eliminated. By developing a habit of doing things right the first time, organizations will greatly reduce their Price of Nonconformance (PONC) and experience greater success. |
